I heard this quote off winnie the pooh recently;
“What
day is it?"
It's today," squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day," said Pooh.”

Its funny how as adults we get so wrapped up in the future or the
past; what we seemingly call 'important' things, that we forget to
enjoy today. You might say you aren't doing anything exciting or
important today. But I got to thinking how babies view life. They
take joy in the simple things. The here and now. They live for the
moment.
Take Lizzie for example. Her current favourite things are;
1) Puddles.
2) The funny pully thing mummy found in the car that mummy has
no idea where it came from or what it is for that matter.
But it makes a hilarious noise. And its awesome.
3) Her upsy daisy wellies and swimming costume combo. She
prances around in them pretending to be fireman sam.
4) Her sand bucket. She puts pebbles in from the garden, and
takes them out. She puts them in again. (You get the
picture.)
And to illustrate, here is a link to a video of a day in the (awesome) life of
Lizzie (filmed over a number of months!) -
Such a great idea! Love the moments you chose. And you're so right. Every day is exciting for kids.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a similar puddle-jumping picture! :)
