Why I love my camera.

Dearest Camera.

How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
I like to take you anywhere,
Even the rainest of days.

You make me look like a photography pro,
When really I'm a little pants.
All I know is to push a button,
And ta-da!! I do the happy dance.

Moments of pure joy,
You capture without fail.
But the very best part was...
The day I bought you, you were in the sale :)

Pinterest moments...

...Where you desperately attempt to recreate a pinterest photo. When you add kids to the mixture your chances of success decrease significantly.

Happy Fathers Day to all those awesome dads! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh, the places you'll go!

I has a bit of an epiphany lately. About happiness.

We all know that sometimes life gives you lemons. It can be rubbish. Bad things happen, and then more bad things follow. It can seem never-ending.

But although we cannot always control the outside world. We CAN control how we react to it.

We can decide to be happy. We can have a smiley face.

And we can decide to try our  best to jump over the obstacles and proceed with our goals.

Dr Seuss knows all about this. And after reading his fantabulous book called 'Oh, the places you'll go!' I decided to buy 3 copies. Just 'cus it was so darn good.

I gave a copy to a friend, kept one, and gave one to my daughter Lizzie. I sneakily try to persuade her to 'choose' this book every bedtime for me to read just so I can hear it again. It is full of words of wisdom, and I recommend it to all of you if you are not already the proud owner of this book.

'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.'

And talking of smiley faces...

Crazy times

Apologies for the lack of posts of late.

Life has been hectic and random to say the least. I hope it is going to calm down a bit. But I doubt it.

Such hectic and random events include;

- Ryan is now nearly qualified as a Gas Engineer. New future job.
- Skintness. Statutory maternity pay. Need I say more.
- We got a hammock
- We *might* be buying a house. Mmmmm, lovely house.
- Hence, more skintness

I forgot just how stressful buying a house is. And expensive.

Like I said, crazy times.

But for now, we are enjoying the sunshine. With an occasional steam train.
