Pimp up your home!

I haven't had much time since the most recent sproglet was born to do much crafting.

However since he has reached 3 months, it's like the baby fairy has worked her magic. He has started sleeping through the night, and goes down for (most) of his naps during the day (fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow.)

Huzzah! Mummy is gradually returning to her normal self. Apart from the fact I am mostly house-bound, as like Lizzie, Sam has started to only nap in his cot. So whenever we go out he ends up over-tired until we get back home. So we have taken to entertaining ourselves indoors mostly. Which means for me..pinterest. And my crafting cupboard. (In between feeds and toddler attention-needing times.)

Here are my most recent creations...

Ok, hands up I didn't quite make this. But all credit to me, I found this gem on freecycle. Yes. It is my inner little girl's dream. I'm not sure who it was actually for; me or Lizzie. I love it. It has a mezzanine. It.is.awesome.

I did however paint it and pimp it up. I made the curtains (see below) and the bunting (above.) Fun times.

I also developed a wood pallet obsession. I found a few in the shed and hid them before Ryan could say he wanted them. Mwa ha ha. The quote is by Dr Seuss for those who don't know. A pure literary genius.

And this is Sam. 3 months in, 3 months out :)

My two babies have become best friends. My heart melts when I see them playing together. I believe the newborn periods is officially over. Yay!

The great outdoors.

I  don't know about anyone else, but as a mum I have constantly felt guilty lately.

Guilty that I'm letting Lizzie watch too much television.
Guilty that she is not getting outdoors enough.
Guilty that I'm doing housework and not spending time with her.
Guilty that I am not 'stimulating' her little mind.

So when I saw picked up the national trust leaflet on their '50 things to do before you are 11 3/4' campaign, I knew it was something I needed to do with her. Plus, I love goal lists and ticking them off. I know I have my own list too :)

This list involves getting out and exploring; they even have explorer badges you can earn as you go along.

So today we took full advantage of the lovely sunshine and headed out to Kingsbury waterpark. T'was fun!

Little bride.

Today I actually did one of the many things pinned to my board on pinterest.

It simply involved getting my 3 yr old girl, giving her my wedding dress..and capturing the pure excitement that any girl gets when presented with all things pretty.

Voila.

I hope I get to be there the next time she puts on a wedding dress (sniff sniff.)

My heart just melts, I love her, my beautiful little girl.

Easteriffic!

I hope you are all easter egged out! I for one certainly am! It's fun being a mummy at easter time, and the more kids you have the more eggs you acquire.

I also tried my hand at home-made hot cross buns this year. Not a bad turn-out even though I say so myself :)

The sprog continues to grow, as we keep feeding him. I nibble his chubby cheeks daily.

And we also went to see the baby animals at Becketts farm. Lizzie was scared of the chicks. I can totally understand he fear, given their menacing appearance..

Happy Easter, y'all!
